Award Winning Building! In addition to 2 CAMME Awards won in 2006, The Bernardin has yet another award to add to its repertoire.

In July 2007 The Bernardin entered Mayor Daley’s Landscaping Award Program. Mayor Daley's Landscape Awards is an annual program that recognizes the thousands of Chicagoans who help make the city green through their environmental beautification efforts. This program judges homes, residential and commercial buildings, schools, and other specialized gardens in the Chicago area. The Bernardin was awarded 1st Place for high rise residential landscaping. In addition to the lush flowers, plants and trees that decorate the pool terrace, the garden area is what set The Bernardin apart from its competitors. The implementation of a garden with fresh herbs and vegetables that residents have access to is the first in a downtown Chicago residential high rise.

The award was received by The Bernardin staff from Mayor Daley himself at an awards banquet at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago.
